The Den is one of Country Way’s smaller cottages, comfortably accommodating two to four guests. The Den has one double bedroom and the addition of a sofa bed in the living room. This couple-friendly cottage has an upside-down layout similar to Cuckoo’s Nest. With the open plan living area on the first floor and the bedroom with adjoining bathroom located on the ground floor. This cottage also welcomes dogs and has a hot tub!
On the first floor of The Den is the beautiful open plan living area. The character room has an A-Frame ceiling and is perfect for sitting back and relaxing after a day exploring North Devon. The main sitting area features a comfy sofa, which on request can be converted into a sofa bed and an armchair, as well as a large TV.
At the top of the stairs is the well-equipped kitchen complete with fridge, microwave, gas oven and hob and coffee machine. Next to the kitchen is the dining table, which can seat up to four.

The main bedroom in The Den is located on the ground floor and features a wood frame double bed, a free-standing wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

The bathroom is large and spacious, it is fitted with a bath with shower overhead, a WC and a wash basin.

How many guests can The Den accommodate?The Den can accommodate up to two guests in a double bed and two additional guests on the double sofa bed.

Is The Den dog friendly?Yes, The Den welcomes dogs. One dog is allowed with additional dogs potentially available on request.

Does The Den have a BBQ?The Den does not have its own private BBQ, however, onsite communal BBQ’s are available to hire for £10.00 each.
What appliances are in the kitchen?The cottage’s kitchen is fitted with a fridge, a coffee machine, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle and a gas oven and hob.
Is there a charge for using the sofa bed?There is a small charge for using the sofa bed - this is £25.00 per stay.
What baby friendly features are available?On request a travel cot, a high chair, baby steps and a child’s toilet seat can be provided.
Is there car parking?Yes, there is designated car parking space in the main car park for guests staying in The Den - additional cars need to be parked in the overflow car park.
There are many reasons that make a holiday at Country Ways memorable, one of them is the excellent onsite facilities. At Country Ways you can sit back and relax with a cream tea, play a game of pool with the kids or just enjoy walking around the grounds. On certain evenings the Highland Bar is open for drinks and throughout the year different seasonal events are on offer, including bottle feeding the newborn lambs and pressing apples from the onsite orchard.
